What happens next
There are two doors here, and it's worth being clear about which is which.
Membership is one door. It's free, it's open, and nobody is turned away. You give us your name and we're glad you're here. That's the whole requirement.
Ceremony is a different door. It has a path, and the path has gates — not because anyone here stands between you and the divine, but because we are responsible for what happens to your body and your mind in a room we are running.
Here is the whole thing, start to finish. Nothing hidden.
Becoming a member
One minute. Right now.
Name, email, phone. You're in. You get your member card, access to teaching, and a minister you can actually reach.
Most people stay here a while before going further. That's normal, and it's fine. Nothing expires.
The path to ceremony
- 1
The Religious Sincerity Questionnaire
About forty minutes. You'll hear back within a week.
Thirty-six questions about your life and what you believe. There's no score and you can't fail it. What it produces is a record that your practice is sincere — which is the thing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act actually protects.
A minister or elder reads every one personally. Not a filter. A person.
- 2
Ministerial review
Usually within a week.
One of three things comes back.
- You're cleared to go further.
- You're cleared with something to do first — a conversation, some time, a specific piece of preparation, and we'll say plainly what and why.
- The timing isn't right yet, which is rare and is never a judgment on you as a person.
You remain a full member in all three cases. That doesn't change.
- 3
Health screening
About twenty minutes. Reviewed within a few days.
The part where we ask about your body and your history. A facilitator reads every screening personally and records a decision before any date is confirmed.
This is the step where honesty matters most. We would much rather hear something uncomfortable now than discover it in ceremony.
- 4
The agreements
About twenty minutes.
Two documents. The first says what the sacrament does and doesn't do, what can go wrong, and what we will do if it does. The second is your affidavit — a statement, in your own words, that your participation is an exercise of sincere religious belief.
Read them properly rather than scrolling to the signature. If anything gives you pause, call before you sign. A question beforehand costs nothing.
- 5
Notarization
A short video call, from wherever you are.
Your affidavit gets notarized, which turns a statement into sworn testimony — the form that carries weight if it is ever needed. Montana permits remote online notarization, so you don't go anywhere. If you'd rather we arrange it, we will.
- 6
Ceremony
Scheduled directly with your facilitator.
Date, place and preparation are settled with the person who will sit with you. You'll know well beforehand what to eat, what to bring, and what the day looks like.
- 7
Integration
Thirty days, and longer.
We check in on days one, four, seven and thirty. Real messages from real people, and you can reply to any of them.
This is the part most people underestimate. The ceremony is the short part.
What would actually stop you
It's a short list. Most of what people are afraid to tell us isn't on it.
- Certain medications, particularly in the SSRI and MAOI families
- Significant cardiac history
- Seizure history
- A personal or close family history of schizophrenia, psychosis, or bipolar I
- Pregnancy or nursing
If you're carrying one of these, say so. Some of them mean not this, and not now. Some mean a conversation, or your physician's input. Very few of them mean go away.
The dangerous thing is not having a condition. The dangerous thing is us not knowing about it.
What this is not
This is not therapy, and we do not offer therapy.
It is not medicine, and we make no medical claims. People sometimes find their lives change after ceremony, and we take that seriously as a spiritual matter — but we promise nothing, and anyone who promises you something is selling you something.
It is not a place where anyone speaks for the divine on your behalf.
When you're ready
Nothing here is on a clock. The questionnaire will be there in a year.
Start the questionnaireOr call and talk it through with a person first. The number is on the contact page.
